Ok so here we go in age order:
Matt is still unemployed and has morphed into SuperDad (most days). Having an incredibly hard time with allergies lately... he has never had allergies before (??) Has had his resume edited and returned (how rude!?!) by countless people he has never and will never meet in person (headhunters)- some of whom barely spoke english. He is currently working on some independent study projects in order to increase his career options.
Elizabeth is working pretty regularly with an important client (one who needs lots of design help$$) and saving up to have my business website professionally built and maintained. Has lost a total of 66 lbs since last June... and is feeling pretty good ;o)
Zoee is a champ. She is not a "perpetual puppy" anymore... but she is definitely still Zoee. Just a little calmer these days. No long term damage otherwise (Praise God!) She goes for her Summer shave-down tomorrow! No more fuzzy fuzzy Zoee!
Isaac is officially a 1st-grader!! He is SO BIG!!! He got his Kindergarten Dimploma last week! His report card was all good and he is doing so well! He can read simple words and is sounding things out and spelling them on his own already!!! The kid loves counting to 100... over and over again...and again...and again... His new passion is Nerf Wars. He and daddy are practicing battle tactics daily. If mom finds any nerf darts left at the point of impact (or anywhere else for that matter) she snatches them and hides them. She is wondering when the boys might begin to notice...
Max talks. A lot. Sorry- I just spent a couple of hours trapped in the car with him- the memory is still very fresh. He talks about everything and absolutely nothing at all. He notices tiny details and asks tons of questions, he remembers odd things that no one would expect a 3 year-old to know. He is counting and already knows all of his colors. He loves to sing and he loves to wrestle with Isaac. He is our little devil. His smiles and laughter will melt your heart in an instant and I am pretty sure that is by design. He is sneaky and manipulative. The boy is potty-trained. Knows all the little details and can do it just fine. He just doesn't want to. The more irritated Matt and I get the more passe' it all becomes to him. He does the smirk, the fluttering eyelashes, the rolled back eyes. He just turned 3 in May and he is determined to win this potty battle. Unfortunately for him , mom and dad have a secret weapon. Nuetrality. We've gone back into "eh, whatever" mode. You see, he has been telling us he wants to go to "pwe-schoo" for months now. We told him that he can go as soon as he is ready to be a big boy and use the potty. When he sees Isaac go back to school in the fall and he is still not in preschool- something tells me he'll change his mind.
As for us as a whole: We are moving soon. The lease is up here on July 31st. Yay for moving...
