Baby Time!

After 2 days of mild contractions and one trip into the hospital to be checked and get a shot to stop the contractions (it was still 2 weeks before my due date!) my water broke and there was no stopping that. We headed into the hospital at about 7:30 Sunday morning (May 28th) at about 8:30 I started to feel contractions and at about 10 am I was wheeled into the operating room where Max was born at 10:13 am. After the scary experience of Isaac's birth it was wonderful! Isaac was born via emergency c-section after 18 hours of labor. He was in so much distress when they removed him that he didn't cry and they whisked him off to the nursery before I got to see him. Max on the other hand, came out wailing and stayed in the operating room with me where I got to see him weighed and cleaned up. Then he joined me in the recovery room almost immediately where I got to see them give him a bath. I couldn't hold him yet because they had me drowning in blankets trying to get my body temperature back up to normal but it wasn't long after that they handed him off to me.
