Food, Friends and Fun

Mini-Matt
Our buddy Wilkie (AKA Dave)
Uncle Mat-Mat is getting better at this holding babies thing
Quick Dave! Put it back in!
First Dave (the other Dave) showed him how to use the camera...
...and then he took a picture of daddy, taking a picture of him!
This is 7 month-old baby Aiden, attempting to chew on his own foot (he is teething)
Aiden's mommy and daddy, Kieth and Tanya -she is holding Max
We had a great time visiting with some old friends that we rarely get to see! They all drove up from the Seattle area to spend the day with us! We cooked out on the grill and played with babies and just had some fun. Thanks for coming up to see us you guys!

Mommy and Max's play time

I was going to pick one of these pictures for the last post but I couldn't choose just one- he is soooo cute! So they all get their very own post! These pictures were taken Thursday night, July 27th while I took a break from sewing some new "Cars" jammies for Isaac.

Just Hangin' Out

Sometimes this is the only way he'll go to sleep
Matt came home from work to a fussy Max that wouldn't (but needed to) go to sleep. Needless to say Mom handed him off right away!
Isaac gets to feed Max for the first time!
Hasn't been a whole lot going on around here lately. We just powered through a heat wave this past week and are definitely enjoying the cool down. These pictures were all taken last week. Just been too busy to post. We are heading out on a camping trip soon so we should have some more good pictures to share from that.

The Fourth of July at the Beachhouse

Enjoying the Island community's 4th of July Parade
Party Animal

"Run away! Run away!"
"Come on Dad, let's light some more fireworks!"
Just enjoying the view
So Patriotic!
I suppose that's one way to play ping pong...
We spent the day at a Beach House on Treasure Island near Allyn, Washington. We had a great time with Matt's parents and lots of family friends. We played some games, ate lots of yummy food, set off some fireworks and watched an amazing display of fireworks going off all around Case Inlet (the body of water in the pictures).

Tom, Diane and Maddy come to visit

"Who is this kid my mommy is holding?"
"See my baby brother?"
Catchin' up...
The kids squeeze in some playtime
"See the baby Maddy?"
When we were visiting Matt's parents before the 4th of July our friends Tom and Diane stopped by to meet Max. Tom and Diane have known Matt since high school and the four of us are good friends now- if only we lived closer! Their daughter Maddy just turned 2 in June. We had a nice visit and it was really good to see them again!

Gone Fishin'

Searching for Minnows
Isaac was convinced he needed to put the lid on the container so the fish wouldn't get away
They caught one!
Just one of the kids
What mom was doing while the boys went fishin'
When they were all done fishin' they came to play with Max
"Hi big brother!"
On July 2nd we spent the day at the park because Isaac wanted to go "fishing" so we got him a fishnet and he and daddy headed out to the creek to catch minnows. We made a picnic lunch and spent the afternoon enjoying the sunshine. Maz snoozed while I read. Then when they had successfully caught 7 fish, they released them and came back to hang out with Max on the picnic blanket. What an awesome day the four of us had!

Uncle Lewis and Stephanie come to meet Max

My "little" brother Lewis with me and my boys

"First thing's first, gotta show Uncle Lewis my sandbox!"

My cousin Stephanie cuddling little Max

Checking each other out

At Zuanich Point Park- it was a beautiful day!

Isaac wanted to sit in Stephanie's lap too, he didn't fit, but he insisted on

at least having his foot there!

The boy in the bubble! This cool tank is at the Marine Life Center in Bellingham

So for those of you who don't know, my cousin Stephanie lives in Ft Lewis, Washington and is a mail clerk in the Army. Lewis still lives back in Duncan with his wife Sara and his 2 year old son Collin. He is a truck driver- which is how he got to come visit! We had such a great time! I prepared a healthy dinner for Lewis and Stephanie and they countered by preparing a good ole' southern breakfast- Biscuits and gravy- more like heart attack in a pan! (I won't lie, it was really good!) But that;s okay because we headed out to Zuanich point park in Bellingham where I snuck a three mile walk along the waterfront in on them.
